Notice cookies

This notice explains how deuxmars.fyi uses cookies and similar trackers, in line with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL guidance. Cookies are small files a site can place on your device; similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting.

The crew set no cookies of the crew’s own. The site uses no analytics, advertising, social media or preference cookies, no local storage and no tracking pixels, so no consent banner is required.

Cloudflare, which delivers the expedition pages, may set a strictly necessary security cookie such as __cf_bm to distinguish people from automated traffic. It lasts about thirty minutes and is not used to identify you or follow your browsing.

The pages contain no scripts at all, so they cannot read or write browser storage or build a device fingerprint. Your browser may keep its own cache of pages and images; you control that cache and can clear it at any time.

Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies for one site or all sites, usually under privacy or security settings; on a phone these are in the browser app’s own settings. Blocking the security cookie may occasionally trigger an extra check, but the pages will still work.

Blocking every cookie can affect other websites you use, so you may prefer to block cookies only for sites you do not trust.

Mobile games do not use browser cookies. Any storage or identifiers used by a future Deux Mars app will be described in that app’s own policy, and settings stored on the phone can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it.

If the crew start using another cookie or tracker, the crew will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. Questions can be sent using the crew’s contact page.
